AAIC2011 - Thank you !!

I just got home a couple of hours ago after traveling for over 27 hours. I just wanted to take a few moments before I collapse to tell you all how much I enjoyed AAIC and to give you a huge thank you

I understand the stress involved in putting on a conference, and I first want to thank Mark and his crew for having the vision to put on the event. All of the worry and hard work paid off as the conference was a huge success. I enjoyed all of the presentations, but most of all, I enjoyed meeting new enthusiastic imaging friends. I have spoken at many gatherings and must say that this was the friendliest group I have ever had the honor of spending time with.

As all of you who attended found out, not only can we learn a lot at these events but most important was the face to face sharing of ideas and methods. That type of encouragement really pushes us up the learning ladder as well as inspires us.

I will never forget the time I spent with you and came away with a new energy for this wonderful hobby. I look forward to hearing what you think about the tutorials I built especially for you when you recieve your DvDs.

And lastly, I would like to extend my personal invitation to AIC2011 http://www.aicccd.com and hope that you can make it. I promise - you will not be disappointed.

Kindest Regards,

Your presentations were excellent, too.

Good to see you got home safely mate. 27 hrs? delays? damn.

Im looking forward to catching up again in November.

Anyone who wants any further info from an Aussie viewpoint on the AIC please drop me a line. I just cant relay how enjoyable it is. I have a few mates going over and we have done a bit of work on airfares etc so if you need any info let me know.

Didn't get a chance to muscle in and say hi Ken, but really admire your work and soaked up your presentations like a pig in mud. Thanks so much for coming all this way, and so glad if the aussies have given you a bit of an enthusiasm pep-up. You've certainly pulled that off for us too

It was an honour to have met you face to face Ken and to have been in your presence. Your tutorial vids are also fantastic and makes the process seem so easy. A memorable weekend no attendee will forget. And as a life-long trekkie, your slogan touches my heart.

No Delays my friend, just the amount of time it took from the time you picked us up to go to the airport to the time we pulled into our driveway. That is total travel time . . .

It was all well worth it!!

Ken,

I'd just like to add my thanks to you for coming all this way to be part of Australia's very first imaging conference. The few chats we had were fantastic and it was a real pleasure to meet you. I wish I could extend my visit to the US to include the AIC but I am on a tight schedule so will have to wait till some other time in the future.

As for we Aussie imagers being friendly - it's impossible not to be friendly with someone who is always smiling and who appears genuinely happy to be here! If all Americans are like you then I have no doubt I will truly enjoy our holiday state-side!

Thank you once again for taking time out to share your knowledge,

Cheers,
Mario
