FSQ-106N + Goodies

I am selling my trusted FSQ-106N with some goodies.

The scope is in "As New" condition. Originally brought over from the US just over a year ago.

Scope comes with the following:

1. Extender Q 1.6 x for the FSQ-106N (never used still in box)
2. TCF-S 2" Electronic Focuser with temp compensation (Custom Retro Fit) as seen on the images. NOTE: It will not handle loads like the STL11K but can handle DSLR's without any problems. Comes with hand controller and cables etc.
3. After market MEF 10:1 for FSQ-106N, never fitted.

Asking price $3950 + shipping
(Australian customer only)

Genuine offers only.

Cheers
Mark

Pardon my ignorance but is this the same one u used to take the shots on your astro pages ? Because u say there u used a
FSQ106N F5 Takahashi APO + STL11K CCD & 8CFW on Paramount ME ?

Ok i'll bite, what max weight do u think this will hold ? Looking at SBIG 8300M with qhy 2" filter wheel will it take that ok ?
Do u have the papers it comes with serial etc ?
If so consider sold pending answers and if it's not already gone

Marcus

Marcus,

The stock focuser is an absolute beast. The 8300M is puny compared to the STL-11000M. It will handle it without a problem.

Congrats on a good buy. : )

Yes, the one and the same!

I have the papers for it with serial numbers.
As far as the weight the focuser will haul, I cannot give you a guarantee it will be sufficient. I just dont know. The scope came to me like that but ended up taking it off as it just wasnt up to hauling the STL11K with a 8CFW and MMOAG.

Just to be clear, I am talking about the TCF-S focuser which has been retrofitted to the FSQ and not the stock focuser which is part of the FSQ itself.
In order to haul the weight of my STL + accessories I needed to install a RoboFocus on one of the focuser shafts.

Let me know if you are still interested.

Cheers
