Celestron C8 with extras

For sale is a Celestron C8 modified to take a JMI motofous motor and controller (the version with the 3.5mm jack). Also included is a SPC880 flashed to SPC900 functionality, a 1.25" diagonal, a cheapie 25mm EP, 30mm finder and a pretty beat up Televue barlow with good optics.

Also a custom case made from aluminium and high-density open cell foam comes with it. It also has losmandy and vixen dovetail plates fitted top and bottom.

I bought this last year on the classifieds and have not really used it. The price is a little more than I paid, but I am throwing in the webcam, motofocus and barlow, so I think it's a fair deal if anyone is interested.

For this one, I am not willing to ship, so a buyer in the Brisbane area is preferred. Also, due to family circumstances, I would prefer to drop it off.

Looking for $500 and photos to come.

Photos below. They are of:
  • The first one is of the outside of the case,
  • The second shows how it all fits in there,
  • The third is all included accessories (motofocus unit, motofocus controller, webcam and TV barlow and finder) - note I have not pictured the EP and diagonal, but just imagine entry-point quality for those two.
  • The fourth is a close up of the OTA objective (a little dusty - I will give it a clean before it goes).
  • The fifth is a close up of the barlow with small slots removed. The reason for this was I was cleaning the barlow objective when I dropped the barrel section of the barlow, denting the threaded part inwards in two places. I tried reshaping it with a rubber hammer and dowel, but it remained stubborn and I ended up just cutting out the pushed-in sections of the barrel.
I also seem to have neglected to say it has Bob's Knobs for easy collimation fitted as well.

Hope this helps.
