Power back on!!

Yes, from about 4pm today afterd the Ergon guys working along our beachfront today - so much sand had come up that the caterpillar bulldozer thing had to pull the trucks along!!
Power off for 9 days, but could have been worse, as had solar hot water and gas hotplate.
Still, will be great to use all those things you take for granted .... havent used a hairdryer for 9 days, and look a scary sight!! the Ergon guys spotted me on veranda and jumped. Nice to watch the TV tonight (did buy a USB digital aeriel 2 days ago which worked well until my laptop ran outa power), cook my frozen meal in microwave (yeah, well), use the internet, sleep in aircon and just use a fan.
The plusses have been spending more time relaxing on front veranda in late arvo, with bful sea breeze, having a coldie, reading and listening to music, instread of stuck watching the box, or at computor.
Time for another beer, and back out to veranda.

9 days without 'tricity, heck, you are in the lucky country, sorry to hear it has been this long. But I suppose looking on the bright side, at least you still have something to power. Others maybe don't.

havent down the vanilla thing jjj, but will in the am, to rid the fridge/house of the revolting smell of the porkchops accidently left in freezer!!
