Enormous Tornado in Joplin

The Tornado that hit Joplin Missouri yesterday was so bad that 75% of the town is gone and the remaining 25% is damaged and covered in the debris from the vanished 75%

This isn't a small town either.
Joplin has a population of 174,300.

So far the death toll from this Tornado is up to 90 with many more bodies buried under debris and many more still missing.

The videos are only just starting to come in to You Tube

News just out,

Joplin is about to be hit again right now with massive storms rolling in there now!

The people are running for safety! I don't blame them.

Carl, I have just added another video in my post above. It is 1st in the list. It is video'd by Stormchasers and they were right near it and then arrive in the town as it has just been destroyed.

Probably the most important building in the whole town, the Hospital, is destroyed!
Patients were moved to other towns.
They just said the hospital will have to be knocked down.

The storm is now hitting them again. Looks bad on the 'Live' news.

Just goes to show you, when nature wants to pay out on somewhere there's basically nothing you can do. I hope the US government steps straight in and gets the money, equipment and supplies in there as fast as they can. Not wait around like they did after Katrina.

Absolutely horrible.

Pres. Obama is already on his way there and has put FEMA into action

Fortunately the storm there now has passed without too much more damage.
Just lots of wind and large hail. Now they can get back to the rescues.

Horrific pictures by the thousands!

I have posted just two here.

And more towns are destroyed now including another massive site of destruction in Oklahoma, and they are announcing on the news right now that there is more to come.

Here's two pics of Joplin where the death toll is up to 124 so far
(now classified as the worst Tornado in American history)
