Collimating Refractors

Hi , It seems many refractors today have no collimation adjustment. You knock your high priced scope and have to return it to the factory.

I would like to get a Black Diamond 120 ED refractor but am told it has no cell adjustment . For some $ 2,000 and travelling many kilometers to get to Australia , would a local retailer at least do a collimation test for you before purchase ? I have not read anywhere that this would be done.

I really would be grateful if anyone knows of a retailer who would do such a service and / or if refractors with no collimation screws can be collimated at all ?

A certain amount of collimation can be done by loosening the 3 screws that hold the focuser to the tube, collimating with a cheshire. My ED80 was out of wack when I received it & this is how I fixed it.
