Finder scope and 'short' bracket

Hello.

I am looking for a 50 mm finder scope, that I can play around with to see if
I can make a 'finder guider' so really do not need a expensive one,in case it
all goes pear shaped.

Also I want a 'short' length bracket, the usual finder scope bracket is the 'long'
one,we all have these. But never seen many of the 'short' ones -can I buy these new anywhere cheaply?

I want to have the 'short' one so as I can mount the 'finder guider' up towards the end of the focal tube, and it will all act as a counter weight for camera.

Any thoughts and ideas for making these finder guiders also welcome,If you have made one, please post some images.

Thank you-Chris
