Google Maps Laugh

If you want to have a laugh in Google Maps follow these instructions:

- Open Google Maps here: http://maps.google.com/

- Click on 'Get Directions'

- In 'A' enter USA

- In 'B' enter Japan

- Click 'Get Directions'

- Firstly, read how long the trip will take

- Secondly, scroll down the directions list to the part of the trip from USA to Hawaii at direction number 31 and Hawaii to Japan at direction number 46

well it's probably the bit that says "kayak to Japan" in the directions that takes the longest....

Personally I prefer a jetski.

Change it from drive to walk, then see how long it takes.

117 days and 16hrs, then half way down the instructions list, it says kayak across the Pacific for 3879mls.
How funny is that. Thanks for sharing.

I was once using Google Maps on my Blackberry to navigate around Melbourne. Told it to take me from Melb City to Melb Airport. Then it started to head me for Geelong, which I ignored and headed in the direction I knew.

Took me a few mins to realise it was taking me to Melbourne Airport in Florida. I followed the path on my phone out of the city and across to Perth before I gave up.

Yes, wouldn't it have been easier to give directions to the airport.

Hmmm ... it can't even calculate directions to Australia!!!

They should ask Oprah, she managed to find the place.
