One portable pier for two mounts..

G'day.

Not really into tripods, so I knocked this up. I can't keep the pier on it's slab so I have to disassemble after I've finished, hence making it portable.

I'm not into adjustable top plates either so the bolts on the legs are used to get it level.

The hardest part was using the grey matter up top to come up with a way to mount both the EQ6 & the CGE without building two piers.

I have a 'pictorial' of associated construction pics for each stage of construction, but I'm just posting the end results for now.

One with the EQ6 & one with the CGE riding her.

Well guys, I'm not really setup to be able to mass produce & flog these piers to the public. Plus in order to make an EQ6 fit this pier, you'd have to grind a 90 degree shoulder on the base of the mount casting effectively voiding your warantee.

Refer to attachment.
