Help with iPod Nano

Hi Guys,

my daughter managed to drop her iPod Nano into the water, and naturally now it doesn't work. There may well be water in it (duh ), but these things are a pain in the wotsits to open up.

Anyone have any ideas about how to prise these beasties open so that I can dry it out?

Cheers

slide a 1/16 drill into the earpiece hole (blunt end first - there's a catch inside which unclips - don't force it - just feel around for it - might need one a little bigger - try it with aomething non metallic if you feel iffy about it

Hi Jen,

thanx so much for your reply. I tried as you suggested but to no avail. So I then tried googling it (should have known hey!) and came up with the following very complete instructional video.

Upshot of it is that the thing is all corroded from the seawater anyway. So, unfortunately it's been a waste of effort.

Lesson learned - no more ipods when we go near water
