Back online again...and a Happy New Year to everyone!

Hi everyone,

Been out of the action for a while.

We had a lightning strike a few weeks ago. Hit the massive pine tree out the front and traveled through our phone line (which the phone company had hooked onto the said tree!) into the house and blew our phone connection off the wall, blew up our two phones and fried our newish computer.
There's an impressive scar down the side of the tree, a burnt circle on our carpet and a singe mark on the nearby curtain. We weren't home at the time and we can't believe the house didn't burn down. So all in all we feel pretty lucky.

Just recently got the computer back from the insurance repairer.
So I'll have to do a bit of reading to catch up on what's been doing here.

Had a couple of good nights at the telescope out at Mt Beauty over new years...
