RIP Gerry Rafferty

Sadly Gerry Rafferty has departed after a long illness. Best known for the song Baker Street and the haunting alto sax solo played by Raphael Ravenscroft. His City to City album remains one of my all time favourites. His music lives on.

Sad to hear it. Baker Street is an all-time classic, so he'll be rightly remembered.

Memories

I remember seeing Gerry live as part of Stealers Wheel before they made it big. That was about 1972 ish at the Black Knight pub in Bexley! Good night. (Isn't it amazing the thing that stick in your mind!)
