What does the mount have to carry now and what are likely future loads? For example, an Astro-Physics Mach1GTO will likely track better (less and smoother error) than a Losmandy Titan but it will not carry as much load.
Thanks for the feedback , polar finder not necessary I can't even see the SCP from where I image, need something I can set up each night roughly aimed true south and will then virtually align itself
I'm sorry I don't know the AUD prices, but here in the states the AstroPhysics AP1200 would be the best in category. If that's above your limit, the AP900 would be the next best. Or the Paramount MX.
With the 10" RC, I wouldn't go below the level of a Losmandy Titan or AP900, but if you're on a real budget (choke, swallow) you could get by with a Celestron CGE Pro. You'll have to master the art of PEC, though.

Well after a thorough review of all products available the one's that came up ticking all those boxes were
AP or Paramount
so it looks like I'll have to wait a while especially since I'm making a lifetime investment the mount I buy will have to last a good 10 years, have good resale value and flawless performance
