the audacity eh Asi, especially when you're producing sweet images like this - there be a heap o' detail in this too. You must be imaging later in the evening to me as the planet's rotated more around centered on Mare Erythaeum. I've been imaging just as it gets dark. Got a nice avi or two tonight as well which I'll post soon - too many images be damned, the truth must be told, Mars may shrink but we shall never surrender

cheers,

Here here Rob! Even when It is below the horizon at sunset, we will get an image of the war god somehow!?

DEATH before dishonour!

Yes mate, the seeing is usually terrible for at least a couple of hours after sunset, with variations on some nights. It's a catch 22 situation usually: get mars in terrible seeing, or wait for the seeing to pick up a couple of points & shoot it through the murk/thick atmosphere.

Cheers matey!

Well done mate, must have missed this thread this morning.
I wonder what the white spot on your mars images is (upper right)?
Olympus Mons maybe?

Thanks Andrew. Not sure what the white bit is upper right. Hmmmm. Could be a bridge over one of the canals? ......
