IC 434 - Horsehead nebula LRGB

Hi Everyone,
This is the first image I have posted to this board, and the first complete image from my CDK20 telescope
http://www.faintgalaxy.com/IC0434.htm

It was taken back in early November from Arkaroola, S.A. during a week long expedition. Quite a few iterations went into this result, so many thanks to my friends who patiently provided valuable feedback and guidance via email. I hope you all get a kick out of it!

Now THAT is up close and personal Eric! ... just what I'd expect from a 20" <drool>. Nicely processed and subtle colouring looks good. An excellent shot. Quite natural looking too but IMO you could probably tease out even more detail if you wanted.

Cheers, Marcus

Extreme close up. Love the colors and details. Very natural processing.

Oh yeh that's nice Eric.....what a kit (and location) you have my friend

Having just processed this size field from my little AP drinking straw ..I am freshly familiar with the details, this version is lovely and subtle.

Beautiful

Mike

Nicely finished off Eric!

All the effort certainly shows and I'm sure it was worth dragging the 20" all the way up to Arkaroola
