Distant Suns

Hi There,

has anyone out there looked at or used "Distant Suns"?

I have the "lite" version installed - but haven't used it in earnest yet.

I wonder if there's anything better available.

I am happy to pay a few bucks if it's really good.

Any feedback.

..bit the bullet and invested in the full version of both for the iPhone:
Star Walk
Distant Suns 3

Star Walk is only $3.60 or so
Where DS is $6.80 or so

Both offer the "real sky" compass driven display. So Cool!

Star Walk has the slicker interface but doesn't show much more than the visible sky. You can zoom, but you don't seem to get any fainter stars. Probably OK for most.

I prefer Distant Suns3 mainly because you can zoom in further and get to the fainter sky (it seems to have a bigger star DB)
That's worth the extra $$ to me.
However, it is a bit clumsy and needs getting used to.

Note, the Lite versions of DS has some of the "sexy" features disabled.

Its fantastic simple as that.

heaps better then stellarium for iphone. Only 1 thing. any magnetic interference it will fail and look weird.
