Wish I had the cash! Just bought a camera - I'll have to wait - I think the payload may be a little light for a 8" meade OTA though - especially with all the AP gubbins on it.
Let me know if you can't sell.......

a HEQ5 will easily take 8" SCT.. i dont see why not? I see people using 8" Newts and guide scope with god knows how heavy CCD cameras on them and it still tracks flawlessly

Cool - let me know if things don't turn out - I thought an eq5 would do it - an eq 6 is such a big beast - and so darned expensive!

Thank God!
I was about to go for it. This would have meant buying yet another telescope to go on it.
Thanks Nebula!

Glad I could be of assistance Waxing_Gibbous my unit is looking very small now with this in it!

Thanks for a great mount Lookus (that sounds pretty sus haha). Its HUGE! cant wait to get my 127mm ED to stick on top of it... should be here this week whoohoooo. Looks like with some modding I can get it guiding with a piggy backed megrez 72 and phillips web cam. Have to add a port st4 port to hand controller and should be in business. But I will just use it for visual for now as I am still in my infancy with astronomy, lots to learn!

Anyway thanks again and hopefully will catch up out Toowoomba way and you can show me a thing or three
