Final M42 + comparisons

Hi all,

Yes, I'm still at it.

I think I'll leave it for now and retry capturing it in RAW and process it properly.

For now, here they are.

I stacked the images with inverse opacity as Itchy suggested.

In today's final edition, each of the images (before the final flattening) was enhanced with curves, hue/saturation, exposure, slight leveling and channel mixing. No noise reduction, but unsharp masking was performed after the image was reduced for the forum.

Thanks again for the encouragement.

Regards,
Humayun

I like how the trap stars just leap out of the nebula, dont see that often, they usually get washed out with the nebula, well done looks great

Excellent work, I also like the way you can see the trap stars in the nebula.

Cheers
