well everyone else is doing it...

Repros that is. Rain. Babies. No new data. Pulled out my NGC6334 Cat's Paw from Astrofest 2009 and tried to implement some processing things I've learned since then. Mainly wanting to control the stars a bit better. My original attempt completely blew out the stars. I've attached both attempts, repro on the left.

Do you think the repro was worth it?

Hi Troy

My personal taste is for the 1st image – the stars are very nice, the background looks just right on my screen and overall it just looks very natural and, well, nice!

Cheers

Dennis

Good on you Troy

The stars and nebula look much better in the latest version.

Maybe the background is a bit granular but you've deffinitely improved it as a whole.

Mike

Thanks for the feedback guys. I thought the nebula was a little magenta, and as Mike suggested the BG a bit noisy. I really dare not push this data any more.

Nice Sidonio Troy. The improvement in the stars and nebula is quite amazing.

Well done.
