15/11 Sun

The Sun today.
Featuring sunspots 1123, 1124, 1125 and 1126.
Taken through my Canon 550d, tripod mounted , I used my Sigma 70-300mm lens and a mask made out of Baader solar film.
27 photos were stacked in Registax 5 and processed in Photoshop cs3.
Each photo was 1/2000th of a second, ISO 100 and the camera set at F4.
This is a 100% crop. And I honestly didn't expect to see this much detail, considering the lens I used. LOLOL

What a great result Jeanette and what a terrific example of the potential of a DSLR for solar imaging, without it being mounted on a scope.

Regards
Trevor
