well look at it she must have hit it with a hammer

you are teasing Mr Ward. So will this be an upgrade or motors and other hardware or will the electronics plug into the existing cables and use the existing motors?

You could say that

Ethernet, USB 2.0, Touch screen, Micro SD Ram, Integrated Web server and, yes, you will be able to use your existing (servo) motors.

The software implementation/debug is taking place now....but I wouldn't like to speculate on when a stable Ver 5 is ready for the market.

Touch screen hopefully waterproof, electronics and dew can be a problem.
A manageable menu would be nice, not to mention a planetarium style goto- ie touch the area of sky you want to goto.

On a lighter note, the apps at the bottom looks like you can make a phone call and play music ......cool, now if it can make a decent coffee we're there.

Looks good but I'd be changing the touch screen to predominate red colour for night time use.

Love the idea of integrated web server and Ethernet.

Any chance of wireless handset? (yeah I know..battery life of handset....difficult to manage)

Looks as if a user got a beta unit to use as his old unit was dead and he was waiting for some time for a replacement.

More info on Gemini User Group.

Patience is a virtue...and you could be rewarded in waiting with a stronger $Aust and a Gemini 2.

Now...that's worth waiting for.

Gav,

Don't worry, mate. Even if you got it, you wouldn't be able to use it. The weather has got the best of us at the moment. Even as I'm typing this, it's pouring down here in Canberra, when it was quite a decent day.

We won't be ready until next year, methinks.

Hi,
took me a while ... but after looking a little bit closer at the handcontroller it finally dawned - a 'Blue Screen'!
How do You like it - got one myself to fiddle around with and i think documentation is a wee bit sparse - and what kind of tools do You use for development (Compiler & stuff) and are You running a RTOS?!
Cheers,

Steffen
