Observation Reports section doing well

Hi all, I just noticed that the respected and experienced deep sky observer, Steve Gottlieb, has posted 3 observation reports. He only used a fully equipped 30-inch f/4.5 SDM scope (drool, drool), from Coonabarabran.

I think it is an indication that the visual observing section of the forum is really powering, with many excellent reports coming in. Great to see.

Steve's three reports were just so amazing!

Yes, what a busy busy section the obs. forum is experiencing! And bring on more busy-ness I say! Everyone, (myself included) is enjoying it so much. From simple reports, to extensive ones, to sketches, to binocular reports, they take us on a very enjoyable journey and we look forward to them. We have a great community within this section (of course all of IIS is great too).

Seeing as this thread is posted in G.Chat and thereby targeting a larger audience, I'd just really like to take this opportunity and say: Please, if you have never posted in the obs. section before or are new to IIS, and you are a visual observer (including imaging people with a double life) looking to contribute, don't be shy, we welcome anyone new with open arms, please share your experiences with us. I, myself, am fairly new there, and the people in there have always been so fantastic and supportive.

I'm glad this thread has been put in the General Chat forum
We stand proud and happy of the people and what we accomplish in the obs. forum. Even if some people call us (visual observers) an "over sensitive" lot.

. . . but I have a triple life, does that count?

Visual, imaging, and nowdays 'live' video broadcasting

Yeah, good stuff. Keep the obs reports coming. It makes others want to look
