We have just experienced our worst thunderstorm for along time. We had 51 lightening strikes around Roma with very little time between flash and thunder. It dumped 21mm rain in about 40 mins. Out TV let out a lot of 'pffttt' noises during the storm, while turned off, and somehow managed to survive (damn my luck swmbo said when the tv stops working I can have a 32" LCD).
By the way the storm is heading east.

Wow!! Havent had a good storm up here for quite awhile. Shame about the telly.
About an hour or so before sunset, I looked out my window and saw the most incredible quality of light. I've never seen light like that before. I saw the formation in the clouds and knew it was going to be a cracker.
