lightning last night in Melbourne

Well in between 30-40 degree heat here in Mebourne, we have had some awsome storms move through.

I got these pics north west of Melb, late last night, early this morning.

I used the 350D with the 10-22mm and also the 50mm, i really need to get a longer lens and would love a 70-200, i would have had almost full frame images instead of small distant shots.

I was amazed at how many times lightning struck in roughly the same spot.

great shots Trevor.
Having the street lights in the foreground give a good sense of perspective.

Some great shots there, obtaining lightning is very hard. Well done.

Nice shots TidaLpHasE. I was tempted to take the camera out myself but the storm was not in a favorable possition for imaging from my balcony (also the rain was quite hard where I am and then wind was blowing it in under the balcony roof).
