My best one yet!
Taken last night, Tuesday 2nd.
ed80
550d @ ISO 800
heq5pro

2hrs of data, 8x5min and 5x8min.
Stacked using DSS and levels and curves in cs3.
Darks taken, but no flats. I'd rotated the camera before I realised that worst luck.

This image has come up very nice JJJ. You could try a median mask on the background to smooth out the mottled finish a bit but you have captured the nebulosity very nicely.

Well done.

Here is an example of what can be done using a median filter on the background. It is a bit hard with a JPG file but it will show some of the effect.
I hope you don't mind.

Very nice image, shame about flats, but the image looks good anyway... did the ED80 have a focal reducer or is this native size?

Cheers everyone. I really am happy with it.
Thanks Doug, it's come up a treat.
No reducer was used, I cropped the image in a vain effort to get rid of the coma.
