A weekend of appeasing the wrath of SWMBO

Yes i tried to regain some brownie points by going on a family scouting camp over the weekend. This was held at an old school owned by the scouts opposite Lostock Dam (dont panic its not a good site the neighbours have lights). we arrived on friday night and setup in the dark, and as so true to form when you dont have any astrogear - it was crystal clear from 10pm - 4am. so up early saturday mornig ad it was a trip to the dairy just after the rickety bridge and cattle grate - the farm on the left to those that remember this area of lostock . Then the rest of the weekend was a canoeing paradise for the kids and even the wife had a go, first on Lostock dam then on the river. Had a good weekend (was very warm sat arvo and sunday).

and i have a new tent - i now know its very waterproof - a very heavy downpour on saturday afternoon tested this!

David,

I think it's fair to say that you've got at least the next year's worth of astrocamps covered, judging by those pictures. : )

Good stuff.
Its a lot of points but I think you'll find they expire pretty quickly !
Use em up while you can

A Good Scout is always prepared - where were the Binos !

Cheers

Thank you for sharing those great pics, David- it looks like everyone had so much fun!

From my own female point of view, to get those binos you need lots more brownie points; cooking the evening meal for a whole month will almost always guarantee major points. And tell her she looks beautiful when she opens her eyes in the morning , and she doesn't need to wash those dishes because you love to do it and last but not least, she will always look good in the outfit she is wearing . There you go, brownie points overload. Then give me some, I have been in the minus for a long time.
