Web image hits about to top 1 Million
Little bit of cool news I thought I'd share with my IIS buddies  .
Got a nice surprise when I looked at my stats page today..my total web site image hits is about to top the 1 Million mark  ..currently sittting on 999 628...sooo if you have a look you might just be the 1 MILLIONTH image viewer  :

The most viewed individual image has been this one with 27,172 views and counting

Congrats on nearing the million hits Mike, it's a testament to the quality of your work. 
Geez I hope I'm the lucky 1 million, I reckon that picture will definitely keep the Roos' out of my vege garden.

Hehe... good luck nailing that one on 1 million and get the A0 'heavenly cluster' print out. It's like shooting a fly in between the eyes at 100ft Actual page views and visits (real people) are a small subset of hits. Hits can be bots, anything including links from other websites or forum posts. If you read a post made by Mike with a link to a picture on his pbase account he gets a hit anyway whithout you even looking at the file or reading the post. So you'll probably see the number past the 1 mil mark but very unlikely to nail it down on the dot. I'd like to see that though. Anything's possible. Winning lotto is too.

Yeh the counter is updated daily I think...? So it is most likely past the million mark now, Sorry  ..check the link tomorrow will probably say 1,000,200 or something..?

And don't forget, Pbase counts the number of times you've looked at or edited your own images ... so I guess that means we're about even

Overall I'm currently averaging 700 to 800 or so image views a day sooo even I ain't looking that much . I've seen normal (large) increases in image hits after not looking at anything myself for several days too.
Oh, Ha Ha....  .. RIGHT I'm off to do another Sidonio
