Secondary dew heater for Skywatcher flextube?

I purchased a 10" Skywatcher flextube from Bintel yesterday and the Kendrick wrap around heater was a little too large for the stalk holding the secondary mirror. The skywatcher stalk is a little thinner than the gso.

Has anyone purchased a dew heater for the secondary mirror on skywatcher flextube and if so which one?

Also, is there an alternative to the astrozap light shroud? Price seems a little steep for what it is. Many thanks in advance.

Hi Moh,
I suggest that you try the Kendrick (or any brand) of 1 1/4" eyepiece heater. They are flexible and will wrap around the secondary stalk.
The only alternative to the Astrozap shroud would be to make one yourself, or find someone that is handy with a sewing machine.

Thanks John. I've sent Kendrick an email to confirm wether the above will fit the 10" flextube and if so to place an order.

I just purchased the astrozap shroud from sirius-optics in qld (only place that had one!). Definitely would have been much cheaper to diy, but I'm really lazy

I recently ordered a few bits from Kendrick for my 12" Skywatcher.
1 item was the 2ndry heater. I sent an email asking for the correct heater to suit my application & Jim Kendrick responded with all the info.
The 2ndry heater arrived with all the other stuf. It is now fitted & works a treat.

Hi Sam,

I have fitted the 1.25" secondary wrap around heater from Kendrick onto my dob but have yet to test it. Will report back the moment I get a chance to trial it in dewy conditions.
