M17..under a cloud

Finally I have some time at home to do some imaging...rain, cloud, rain...
sigh...

Going stir crazy....Did a Sid....

Old data with a new twist. (RCOS14, PME, STL11k...about 60 mins LRGB)

Very cool. The ridge is very well defined along with the striations next to the square hole. Top colors too.

Thanks Fred, Marc.... Yep pushed the data quite a bit and should have smoothed the background as a result.

Maybe another re-pro??

Second thoughts.. no... a target for the STX in 2011

A lot more detail than I'm used to seeing in M17, but honestly, it's not as sharp as I've come to expect from your images.

Can't wait to see the revised images.

I haven't setup a scope in months... We're now getting fluffy clouds by day that destroy your spirit, only to occasionally clear late afternoon, for a couple of hours...

Thanks Greg.... BTW your recent CDK images have really stepped up a notch, some great stuff there.

I haven't done any imaging for about 5 months. Can't believe this (Sydney) weather. Lots of great gear, literally with spider webs on it
