Smile New member from Germany

Hello everyone!
I wasn't quite sure where to post this, but I decided to do it here. My name is Karl Hauser and I come from Hannover in Germany. First off I must say you Australians are so lucky to have one of the best skies on Earth. I especially love the two Magellanic Clouds and Crux. I just love thinking back to my time last summer in Salta, Argentina! I have a wonderful telescope from Takahashi, namely a CN-212. Eventhough astronomy has been one of my main interests for twenty years, I still learn new things on a daily basis. I cannot wait to talk to all of you!

Hi Karl,

Welcome to IIS I am sure you will find a lot of good information and help here

A Takahashi CN-212. I have recently been looking at a second hand one of these as a grab and go scope. How have you found yours?? Also what type of mount do you have it on??

BTW: You have a very interesting forum name where does that originate from?

Astronomy is one of those subjects where you can almost learn something interesting and new every day

Hope you have a good time on IIS

Cheers
