Starry Night Pro Plus 6 upgrade: 6.3.9 to 6.4

Hello,

I’ve just downloaded and installed the upgrade, going in my case from 6.3.9 to 6.4. The exe is actually labelled “Starry Night Pro Plus 6.3.3 to 6.4.0 Updater.exe” and is around 70Mb.

The update ran cleanly and smoothly, taking around one minute or so to complete. When I launched the updated application it seemed to launch more quickly too, maybe taking ½ the time to launch compared to my installation of 6.3.9?

Cheers

Dennis

Starry Night Pro Plus Update to 6.4

Hi Peter,
I had difficulty in updating in XP. I have it installed on my desktop and a laptop with XP. I got messages on both machines that the updater failed to download. I finally found their website and manually downloaded and installed the update and it upated with no issue.

When I did the update on my field laptop, a VISA Home Pro machine, the auto update worked with no problem.

It would be nice if Simulation Cirriculum, now the owners of Starry Night, would evolve what this new update covered.

As far as your Mac Machine, did you to to the website and manually select the Mac version update? If not, try downloading it and install it manually as I had to do for XP. Good Luck

Randall

Hi Peter

As Randall suggested, navigate to the SNP website and manually download the exe file and then run it locally from the folder where you saved the download in. I’m still running Win XP Pro SP3 and it worked fine on both desktop and notebook.

If that does not work, then log a help desk request with the folks at SNP, they seem quite helpful.

Cheers
