SW Black Edition 180mm Mak-Cass

11th Nov. 2010 - Scope has been sold.

For sale is my "never used enough" Mak-Cass. I've regrettably only had it out maybe 4 times in the past 6 months. In perfect condition, with all original packaging. The scope would be just under 10 months old.
It would be suitable for a HEQ5 or HEQ6 capacity mount.

Specs at a glance:

180mm Lense Diametre
2700 Focal Length (F15)
Weight ~7-8kg

Manufacturer's Specs/Link:
http://www.skywatchertelescope.net/s...1=1&class2=108

Included only is the 9x50 finder scope (straight through, not 90 degree) and the finder bracket.

I also have a purpose made dew shield from a special black EPP foam, and also a batinov mdf mask specially designed for that focal length, that fits perfectly into the lens shroud - I made with the laser cutter at work, electing not to use the flimsy plastic flexy generic one fits all type.

I also bought an off-axis guider for the scope (orion 2" model), it's brand new, never used. I could be persuaded to sell separately, but had the intentions of using it with the MAK, as my current refractor setup uses a separate guide scope.

You can find this scope brand new for $1599 at the usual places.

Asking $1200 (neg) + postage for the scope, add $150 for the off-axis guider.

Cheers

Mark
