Rain rain and more rain

Been raining here for the last couple of days. Organised a drive so I can rip out the for sale sign on my block of land and find a warning about heavy rain and flooding at Cooroy etc.

263mm in 24 hrs at Cooroibah
256mm at Noosaville
85mm at Kilcoy
Woombye had 63mm in 1 hr.
I expect Kilcoy Bridge to go under later today, all that water from the mountains will be making it's way down to Somerset. Usually take 8 hrs for it to get to us.

Yes, rained a bit on my recent QLD Holiday, Seems it's either feast or famine, although If I remember correctly last years holiday we had a dust storm on holidays and water warrior stickers on every tap I used... go figure!

Sorry to hear about your weather problems guys and girls. All I can say is the weather in Perth is absolutely perfect. No moon, no wind, clear and just bloody gorgous to tell you the truth. Been out just about every night for the past week and a half. Now if only I could arrange a blackout to get rid of that pesky light pollution......hmmmm I wonder... .

You're not the only one to blame.
Someone had the power connected to his observatory yesterday too.

And someone bought an ED80 today as well!

I am so over this weather, can't observe, can't do any seascape/macro photography. Last weekend when it was raining, my other half bought a gigantic tv because we were bored and decided to head to the shops. This weekend we went shopping again. I can't afford any more bad weather!

Those are amazing rainfalls. Keep your heads down and under cover, guys! I hope you all come through this safely. Still, it suggests that you face several good years ahead - better than duststorms and raging fires.

Rainhogs. Why don't you share some it with us here in the West? Would love to fill up the rain tanks and not have to water the vege garden for a while.
