Large fireball last night - 19th Oct

Did anyone else see a large fireball in the SE sky last night at approximately 2351 hrs local time (Vic)?

I was seeing off a visitor with bright outside lights shining, and a large and relatively slowly moving fireball streaked from SE to E. We watched it for a full 3 seconds. The outstanding feature was its size. We estimated that its apparent size was 20% of the moon's diameter. We did not see a smoke trail.

I am guessing that it was some space debris returning to earth, rather than a meteorite, and would be interested in any other sightings or information.
