BEST OF MARS 2005 (4 mnth mars opposition lifecycle image)

Hi All, well I've been promising myself I would compile a "best of" for last years 2005 Mars opposition images (seen some other nice compilations). I have to be back at work on Monday so it's now or never. Here's my effort for the four months from late August through to end December 2005. It reflects quite a bit of evolution (and variation) in my skill, gear such as the scopes used and later addition of electric focusser (must have) and processing tools used etc over that time.

Hope you enjoy this, quite a mixed bag but I'm quite pleased with the result and looking forward to the next one when hopefully my skill set and kit will be a little more refined/stable.

cheers,

Very nice collection Rob!

It really displays the difference in viewing Mars at different times of it's pass. Well Done.

Rob

That's terrific stuff. Great images and very nice presentation.

I agree with DP. You have to submit that to the mags. That would look great on any page of contributed pix in any magazine anywhere.

You have to at least send it in to AS&T, or to any of your magazines of choice

The images at opposition are great, and I particularly like the colour and overall appearance of Dec 24.

thanks very much guys for the positive feedback

I'll pass it on to one of the mags to see if they're interested. Even if they're not, it's still very satisying for me to have a season's happy snaps strung out across the one image I can look back on.

cheers,
