Winter Solstice

Hi all.

Is the Winter Solstice (here in the southern hemisphere) this Thursday or Friday?

I always thought it was June 21, but have read that this year it occurs on the 22nd

According to my EsE2C calender and also this website, it's 22nd June, 4.06am.

Precession is the culprit now its 22nd June, 4.06am. (Friday morning)
Bonfire nite!
By the way it changes every year due to not an exact 365 day rotation
I broke ground & sunk the pier for my Obs
on the Winter Solstice 21st June 2003 (daylight was 9 hrs & 33 min)
