My wifes permanent visa is GRANTED!!

My wife & I met on the internet 4 years ago in a yahoo chat room, & ever since then we've spent close to 10K on visa application/agents/plane flights to & fro from America/FBI checks/etc. (what a nightmare!!)

Anyhow on the 30th Dec. 05' She finally was granted her permanent Australian visa!!

Now she's packing up & flying out back to the U.S. to visit the grand kids she's never seen.

I wonder if she realises I'll be buying a takahashi refractor the day after she leaves?

I'll still be as close as the nearest computer Dave. It's not like I'll be leaving this forum Just 'cos I'll be living in the States...You won't even know I've left Australia.

I'll send you a post card from the Andromeda galaxy when I get there!!

Actually all of a sudden (the last couple of weeks) I have an urge to do some DSO work. At present I'll just use the kodak again & the 4 sec max exposure in Afocal mode. But yeah...I would'nt mind that toUcam being modded...preferrably before I go anywhere!

Dear Mrs Asimov,

we the undersigned have it by good authority, that your husband is cheating out of your sight. She is known by the Name of Tak, short for Takahashi.

We understand you plight and encourage you to use your Australian rights and spend as much as you like in the United States.

Signed

Mr Acropolite and Mr h0ughy

PS.
Mr Asimov said could you please call by OPT and pick up his order for 4 Naglers and his Paramount ME he has on order there!

Congrats John but I am confused!

John, if Micki has now got permanent Aussie status, why are you moving to America?

Seems like a waste of 10k and heaps of hassles to get it granted then leave anyway??? Am I missing something here???

John, don't go

plus it's easier to type 'AsiOzzie' than it is to type 'AsiUnitedStatesOfAmerica'.

There's nothing written in stone yet Ken. At this stage it's a dream of mine to live there. (I've always wanted to even before I married an American!) She came here because I thought I was set for life with the job I had. (mistake #1)

It may happen, & it may not too! My missus misses her family terribly (mistake #2 she never realized the implications in being so far away) so she's out of here, now weather she comes back or I go there I'm not sure. (yet)

Time will tell!

Dual citizenship for both of us sounds good. 2-3 years here, 2-3 years in the US then move back again. Best of both worlds!
