I just got the LXD55/75 encoder upgrade from LXD55.com. So I will tell you if they make much difference once they are installed.
I also got 4mm grub screws to put in the gears to stop them from slipping. The original ones look a lot smaller so these big ones should solve the problem once I drill out and retap the holes.
Baby steps...
