The first link: "Chariots of the Gods" ... the lines of Nazca ... Eric Von Daniken .... a confirmed crook, I think ... he now disowns the very book he authored ....

"Return of the Gods" pushed it all over the top for me. I still have the books. Loved 'em when I was younger .. one of the reasons I first became interested in Astronomy.
Strange how pseudo-sciences can actually have the opposite result to that which Carl asserts.
..Maybe its just me ...

Well, only partly and in the sense that we gave him something to write about (it is one or two sentences only..)
So, our contribution to warping your mind was negligible
How do I know this?
Because I was reading those books myself .. I think I stopped at the third.

It's a double edged sword....luckily for you it never triggered the "moron" gene
I read all his books as well...were a fascinating read but not worth the effort to believe in much of his stuff.

Back in the early 70's before colour TV there was a TV program "Chariots of the Gods". Channel 7 had it and a mate of mine was a leading tech there and modified an old Ampex 1" video tape machine for colour. He copied the original quadraplex tape onto his 1" tape and we all saw it in colour at a radio club meeting. When channel 7 showed it it was only in B&W.

Hi Carl
That was a great laugh reading those links. It livened up an otherwise dull afternoon.

It would be a laugh, if they weren't so serious.

Isn't that funny, I watched Chariots the other week on DVD.
My sides are still aching ...
