Samson EQ Mounts

Hey guys hows your astro going?

Just wondering if you please provide some information on the Samson EQ Mount. I have heard they are a very good mount. Im pretty sure i seen one on Steve Quirks 8" set up. I Think i might have one here... not sure though as it has no RA or DEC worm gears, maybe its an older model? My old high school gave me this 6" newt. ages ago, its fairly old.

Cheers! Tom

Grove Creek Observatory has an operational "Samson" mount.
The equatorial mount shown is known as a "Samson Mount" are no longer made any more but used to be a very popular mount available from Astro Optical, in Sydney, Australia. Please note that despite the many offers we receive via email, this mount is NOT for sale at any price, as it has a suburb low periodical error and is owned by Jim Lynch.
