Holidays,Holidays, Holidays

Well I'm off on a family holiday. Wife ,dog and I are off to Tin Can Bay in QLD for a month. Well at least staying a week or two after a long trip up from Victoria.

If any of you wish to catch up with me even if just for a coffee while I am up that way I can be contacted via PM as I will have internet in the caravan or contact me on mobile phone. 0428544481.

Cheers
Doug.

You might like to get in contact with the Hervey Bay Astro Society and maybe get along to their new moon night.

Mr Massey is a top fella and I know you'd have a ball.
Take care on those roads. Be safe.

Great idea....grab a beach rod and a big "egg beater" and whip a few pillies out for some tailor and mackerel

Thanks everyone, I hope to do a bit of fishing, a lot of walking and whatever else comes to mind. It will be lovely to just sit back, forget about work, and watch the world go by.

I will make the effort to chase up Steve Massey. A nice guy I have spent quite some time talking to on the phone.

Thanks again everyone.
Now counting down to Sunday morning.

Hey Doug, enjoy the holiday mate, reckon you deserve it. You should come home nice and refreshed. Yeah and as others have said, drive carefully too many dipsticks on the roads now days.

Why would you leave those crisp clear winter nights in Victoria to laze in the sun up North ?

Spent a few days of frantic driving to get here. I am going to use my GPS as a boat anchor I think. It took me on every back road in Queensland. I've seen crops and land use I never thought existed in this country. I had a visit from Ron (Astroron), great to finally meet him. We had an interesting evening talking about all sorts. Thanks for paying me the visit Ron

Tomorrow we are heading down to Helensvale for a few days then hopefully down to CoffsHarbour for another week or so. Then Newcastle area, ShellHarbour then back home.

My biggest concern is travelling with my dog and trying to find a nice park which allows dogs.
Any recommendations greatly appreciated.
