I will be there with my scale solar system, some meteorites and a number of other astronomical "models" that I use in some of my astronomical talks.

Come along, it should be fun!

Well, I think we had a fantastic turnout! I was keeping a mental tally of the number of people I talked to and got to about 70 or 80 in total, my throat was pretty sore by the end of the day. There were a number of people who walked past me on the way out while I was talking to other people, so I think I missed a potential further 30 or 40. Overall, we would have had several hundred through the building. I was positioned in one corner of the room, near the side entrance, and tried to grab anyone as they left if I didn't recall talking to them earlier.

My model Solar System grabbed the attention of a number of people, but the most popular thing was my 11kg meteorite, followed by my Lunar and Martian meteorites.

Hopefully we see a few people turn up at the next meeting in a couple of weeks.
