NGC253 Close up

Hi Guys

Been a while since ive done a full frame LRGB (well, anything really), weather has been atrocious untill lately.

Usual trouble with big stars (NABG cam), and try as I may, I couldnt extract the streamers some have managed to revieal, heavy urban pollution may have been a factor .

Anyway, here is the 2meg pic. And here on my site front page.

Lum 7.3 hrs Bin1: RGB 2hrs each Bin2 all 10min subs

Fred......gobsmacked!..

The version on your site that allows a slightly bigger zoom is just
wonderful.

Edit: my mistake Fred...same scale <facepalm>

Not enough superlatives!
Inspiring stuff.

Steve

Nup, don't like it. Too many stars. Looks like mushy golden pea soup.

Have you tried removing the stars to reveal the streamers?

Magnificent work, Fred.

Well thanks Steve. The direct link should be the same on Explorer 8 when you click the + zoom, a puzzle .

Thanks H, I must appologise for a substance induced inappropriate comment I might have made on a recent image of yours, that was of course excellent but may have been cobbled by posting res, and a deliberate wind up by a certain (previously) *fit* (strong ) pest of these hallowed pages .

Pah - I don't believe it - this must be some NASA simulation of resolutions the James Webb 'scope will be capable of surely. I'm heading off now to track down which site it came from ......

Superlative Fred! Most amazing 253 pic I've seen. Kinda makes it a bit pointless for the rest of us trying to wring out the odd dust lane though.

Very striking image Fred. I see the streamers. A lot of rich colour and a high impact image.

Greg.

Fred - Your image oozes awesomeness.... I see the streamers in there.. In any case You should be super happy with that shot mate, its a killer....

I reckon if you rotated the camera by about 30° you could probably have gone for a SLIIIGHTLY longer focal length.. haha
