A couple more from Duckadang

This rounds out my bag from Duckadang 2010.

NGC7000 - only managed 6 x 450sec subs before this object drifted behind a tree - I'll need to find a clearer Northern Horizon before I attempt this again. I'll also need a wider field of view, or pluck up the courage to attempt a mosaic - this is really just the western half of the North American Nebula.

NGC 7293 - The Helix. Only 10subs for this object - definitely needs more data for smoothness.

M7 - 10 x 120sec subs. I really just did this as a focus and tracking test - seems to be OK to me.

Thanks for looking and comments/critiques are always welcome.

Thanks for the comments from everyone.

I have access to a dark site with a low northern horizon, so I plan to attack the NA neb again. I'll give it a go with my WO scope and Televue Reducer first, but might have a go at the mosaic in due course Jeanette.

I'm not sure if I'll get out imaging for the September new moon - I'm torn between that and watching Riverfire in Brisbane - I do love the smell of kerosene from the F-111 dump and burn.

Cheers
DT
