Colour Profiles overridden by Windows 7

Ok, something weird happening.

I have a ColorVision Spyder2express that I have installed on my Windows 7 laptop.

It loads at startup and there is a dialogue box that comes up saying it has loaded the colour profile into the video card. If you go to the colour management window it is there, associated with that monitor.

I can open an image file in preview (now called Windows Live Photo Gallery??) and it appears normally, but if I click on the Slideshow button to look at the image full screen the colour goes weird. To reload my colour profile I have to go to the start menu and click on ColorVisionStartup.

I've looked through Colour Management under windows control panel and have made the Spyder2express profile my default, but it continues to drop the colour profile when loading the slideshow.

Any thoughts?
