Moon + 5 planets 12th and 13th August

Hi All. Here's a couple of views of the beautiful conjunction of the Moon with 5 planets - Mercury, Saturn, Venus, Mars (and Earth) - taken on the 12th and 13th August from northern Australia. There has been a lot of scrub burning off of late especially in the west, the smoke contributed to an intensely red sunset on the 13th (lucky for some) and enhanced the already rich sunset colours. A wonderful experience in the warm tropical air shared with countless mozzies!

Yes, the everpresent mozzies make observing and taking images a bit tricky.
Very good images.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to comment.

Grun, I was at Jabiru in the Kakadu National Park. A first time visitor, but not my last!
