What refractor?

Hi people.

I have a problem! Im after a good quality refractor and I have been looking at the TEC 140, TMB 130, Astro Physics 130 (Ive place a notification all goes good should here a response in say 8years), takahashi FSQ106, and finally a TEC 110. I know its a bit of a list but hay thats the list.

I know in years time I will get my notice to order the AP I will take it up so in saying that the rest of the scope would be the ones that may find my mount there new home pretty soon.

My intersets lie in planetary visual and photography I know that most of these scopes are of short F ratio but my interset lies in sharp contrasty
images and from what I know refractors are the go. So I need help to pick one that will excite the visual senses.

Feel free to respond to me with any other products that you may think would suit may needs.

Tak 106 is (Gorgeous), AP is (MEGA)!! TMB is very interesting and a very well liked brand, I think you are on the right track already waiting for the AP people to grace you with their knight-hood of Telescope glory when they feel good and ready to call out your Souvlaki ticket number. Maybe add William optics FLT's and you mentioned planets i would suggest Pentax or Borg, all good scopes that is a nice quandary to have though, deciding which of the best you want to choose.

it depends on many factors, the mount first, is it capable of long focal length Imaging or accuracy, if not go with a shorter FL.
I note you are in Melbourne, not too many clear nights on average, making imaging more challenging. What gear are you currently using?

Tele Vue NP-127is, NP-101is, NP-101 or TV-102.

Note 'is' series have much better focuser for photo work should you desire.

HCR32, the Takahashi FSQ-106 gets my vote, but don't forget the Tak TOA 130 and 150. Not too many other refractors can match any of them.

Just to clarify this, your interests are planerary visual and planetary photography? Because if this is the case then an apo isn't the best scope for your needs.

If I am mistaken and you mean planetary visual and deep sky photography then please continue
