On a cold Winter's night.

Hi All,

Whilst out the other night, there's this tree near where I regularly go to take in the wonders of the night sky.

It can a little un nerving as it stands out as the only bare tree. Given you're in the middle of nowhere and those noises coming from the field and amplified in your mind even more after watching a horror movie recently and your mind begins to wonder....

Unfortunately, the camera doesn't do it justice but here it is.

Canon 40D, ISO400, 8min, 35mm at F4.0

Does anyone out there have a similar tree or object that plays with your imagination - especially if you're on your own late at night where no one can hear you...

Darrin...

Very nice photo, I'm not in love with the color of the sky.
It does have a darky mood and good atmosphere, I feel I'm there and it's a little scary.

A good candidate for HDRI with those limbs set against the sky.

I like it, but I'm not that superstitious. A walk down King Street in Melbourne at night is much riskier, indeed. Or a trip on our Metro train system after dark.:p rey2:

Sounds like the start of one of these "campfire" horror stories!!!

What you needed was a mist hanging around and a few owls hooting

Nice piccie, though
