Moonbase Alpha
Hey guys
I just came across this and thought it might be a little fun for those who love the moon http://www.moonbasealphagame.com/
I haven't tried it out yet as I'm in OSX on my mac and will try install it on Bootcamp XP to see what it's like. It's free so it'll be worth a try.
Sorry if it's been posted, tried the search function and didn't see anything

Should be cool. America's Army was very realistic and looks like it was developed by same people.

Ah I only noticed after my my first post that it was provided by Steam sorry!
Steam is basically a system that allows you to download and buy games onto your computer. It's very popular amongst gamers as it offers a much cheaper alternative to buying a hard copy of the game, and it acts as an interface to tell you which of your friends are online, does automatic updates etc - great if you're into games, but may be a bit of a pain for just one game.
All you have to do is set up a Steam account and after that it should all be pretty straight forward. Hope that helps

Update:
As I originally had Steam installed on OSX, I had to re-install it on the Bootcamp partition on my Mac, and it reminded me why I made the move from Windows - the bloody thing froze my whole computer and I had to power it off!
Anyway, I already have a Steam account Warren so I didn't have to set one up, but installing it should be relatively straight forward after that. Once you've done that you need to go to the "Store" section and search for Moonbase Alpha and click "Install this game" or whatever it's called (green button). It will then download the file and show you the progress of the download. Once it's done, you just run the game from the Steam interface.

Yep Troy, native on OSX now! It got released about a month or so ago - quite good as its cross platform as well, e.g you can be playing Team Fortress on your mac against friends playing it on PC. Here you go http://store.steampowered.com/browse/mac

Excellent! It was only just a couple of months ago or so that I downloaded a Mac demo of Bioshock to see how it goes on my MacBook Pro. I had a quick look at the Steam website then, but couldn't see anything. I was a hard-core Half-Life and Counter-Strike player (from the beta days) and still occassionally have a tinker with it on a Friday night after work with some of the other guys to blow off some steam (no pun intended).

Hi
downloaded
played a few minutes (successfully)
Cute game
Rated "E" Everyone so good for all ages
Basically in the bit i played, astronuts (:]) need to effect a bunch of repairs to various components of some O2 generator else all die.
Good fun
good interaction
I haven't explored all options etc (I do have a mortgage to pay...)
seems addictive, I played and helped fixed things until we succeeded ...Hoorah!

Hey Warren
It's about a 1 gig file, so after you click the install button the game has to download, and depending on your connection it might take a while. Once you have pressed install, go to the Downloads section of steam (its in the top navigation) and you should be able to see it downloading.

Hi Rockah
No nothing happening there either it is like it doesn't start at all no indication as to why it isn't starting either. I hope I can get it working as I really want to try this game.
Thanks

Downloaded this myself recently too.
Pretty fun game.
Great team based game.
Little restricted in scenarios. But hey! What else can you do on the moon?
