New scope time!

As much as I love my 8in Dobsonian, I think it's time to get something a little more portable.

I have a budget of around $1400 (more if I sell the dob) And would like something with GoTo and that I can add an Autoguider and do some Astrophotography.

From reading a few forums, I've seen the suggestions of the Bintel BT200 HEQ5 but at this point it's a little out of my budget unless I wait a couple more weeks. Is there any other suggestions out there?

I had considered upgrading the Dob to a GoTo, but it was going to cost near on $1000

Kev you can save a fortune by jumping on things in the classies. All my scopes and mounts have come to me pre loved...don't be in a hurry, just have the cash ready Actually better still put an add in wanted section... you'll never know unless you ask.

I've been keeping an eye out on the classifieds recently. Might have to buy the trading post on Friday and check them out.
